Dr. James Ko – General Dentist & Partner

Dr. James Ko is a general dentist and partner at Smile Centre Dental Group, with a strong focus on implant dentistry, cosmetic treatments, and surgical care. He earned both his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree and Master of Science from the University of Toronto, where he also conducted research in biomaterials, publishing work on the interaction between dental implant surfaces and bone.

Dr. Ko is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centered care and enjoys all aspects of dentistry, with particular interest in dental implants, Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry, and surgical extractions. As a certified Platinum Invisalign provider, he has extensive experience helping patients achieve confident, functional, and aesthetic smiles.

Known for his approachable and thoughtful manner, Dr. Ko takes the time to understand each patient’s goals, address concerns, and provide clear, practical guidance for long-term oral health. He believes in building strong relationships with his patients and delivering care that is both personalized and results-driven.

Dr. Ko is fluent in English and Mandarin and is currently learning Cantonese. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, playing basketball, and exploring new technologies.
