What happens during a check-up at the dentist?

During a check-up, your dentist will evaluate your dental health by examining your teeth, gums and the rest of your oral cavity. Your dentist will take x-rays in order to simplify the identification of existing dental problems that are not visible in a normal examination. In adults, x-rays can be used to identify impacted teeth, jawbone damage, dental decay, tumors or cysts and abscesses. Children’s x-rays provide a clearer indication of where their adult teeth will eventually come in.
Your dentist will discuss any concerns you may have about your general health or dental health with you.

This advice could include dietary recommendations and oral care tips. You may also be encouraged to quit smoking. Fantastic place! I went in for the first time, and I couldn't be happier with the way I was treated. Alice at the front desk is extremely friendly and really generous. She made sure that I went out with a smile on my face. Dr. Goli and Dr. Ishan were my dentist and dental assistant and they did a great job with cleaning my teeth. They were all extremely supportive and made me feel comfortable in a place where not many can be comfortable. They made me feel like there was still hope for my teeth and gave me great advice on how to keep them healthy and clean.
